A newly created role, BISA seek a Communications Manager to lead the communications work and research impact at the beginning of an exciting new period for the Association.
The job will involve managing BISA’s communication strategy. This includes a relaunch of the association’s website, generating, writing and editing content by liaising with BISA wide working groups, the post graduate network and sub-committees. The job involves taking the lead on all aspects of social media and providing the communication lead at BISA events and the annual conference.
With a keen interest in International Studies, the person’s experience may include managing communications for an academic body, think tank or NGO.
The person should demonstrate fresh and innovative thinking and must have experience of managing websites, outreach, events management and communications and, essentially, must have excellent writing and editing skills.
Of degree calibre, the person may typically have some graphic design and branding experience.
The person should have an independent working approach and be prepared to take the initiative.
