Exhibition Breakdown and Courier Collection times
15th June 2018 1.00pm - 4.00pm The Hotel has very limited storage space so asks that all materials are picked up on the Friday afternoon from the exhibition hall while Publisher's staff are still present to ensure the correct parcels are picked up, please ensure all returning packages are clearly labelled as a few got picked up by the wrong Couriers in 2013 and then lost for weeks. Any stands left unmanned at the time of breakdown will be cleared of materials by the hotel between 1.00pm & 4.00pm and BISA will not accept liability for materials disposed of.
Exhibition Materials disposal at end of conference
Please do not leave behind significant amounts of journals, cardboard stands, catalogues etc. at the end of the conference for disposal. The Hotels are starting to threaten invoices for staff time and refuse disposal costs, as so much has been left behind at recent conferences. There are environmental considerations of disposal to landfill. BISA will not accept liability for rubbish disposal costs and will have to pass these on to the Publishers/ Organisations exhibiting. We ask that you act considerately to both the venue, the BISA conference organiser who has had to spend hours clearing away the mess at the end of the conference and the environment. Please ensure the absolute minimum is left at the end of the conference, a small amount of cardboard will not be a problem but many copies of heavy journals, catalogues etc are, as commerical (Hotel) waste is costed by weight.
In order to minimize disturbance and hazards from early departures, exhibitors are required to staff contracted space during all hours that the room is open. Failure to do so may result in deferred stand assignments for future conferences.
