The BISA PGN is a student-led initiative for International Studies postgraduate students, both research and taught. It aims to encourage an active postgraduate community, bringing together postgraduates from different intellectual traditions and cultural backgrounds to form research, teaching and support networks. The BISA Postgraduate Network (PGN) exists to represent the interests of postgraduates within BISA.
Who can join?
The PGN is primarily for those undertaking current Postgraduate study or research, and Early Career Scholars who recently gained their PhD.
The Postgraduate Network’s goals are to:
- Situate postgraduate researchers in the national landscape of International Studies
- Provide a national forum where postgraduates can participate in workshops and events related to teaching, learning and research in International Studies
- Provide a supportive environment where postgraduates can establish valuable contacts for the future
- Manage an email distribution list to alert members to conferences, funding opportunities and other activities
