Peacekeeping, Peacebuilding and Human Rights teaching and learning forum
Do you teach in the area of Peacebuilding, Peacebuilding and Human Rights? The PKPBHR Working group are running our first teaching and learning forum. We understand that there is a great deal of breadth in how we lecture and assess topics under this umbrella, so plan to bring together academics who lead, co-lead to contribute to courses.
Our first teaching and learning forum will focus on two broad questions:
As a lecturer, what has been your key area where you have developed skills in the past three years?
- What challenges have you experienced in learning and teaching in this period?
- What skills and knowledge would you like to become better acquainted with as you progress through the next three years?
Here, we are asking you, the group, to identify trends and learning points. We also see this as a valuable way in which a community can be built which allows colleagues to assist each other across universities. Moreover, as a community of educators in this field, the forum will provide opportunities to reflect on useful ways to mitigate and address challenges.
The discussion will be valuable to PGRs and those in the early stages of their teaching career as well as more experienced academics. As the forum goes on, we would like to focus on different areas. Our first conversation will set the tone for this.
We look forward to seeing you!
Registration will close two hours before the event begins
