Lead editor of Review of International Studies, Martin Coward, interviews Asma Abdi, who received an honourable mention in the BISA Colonial Postcolonial Decolonial Working Group's first annual Early Career Researcher Paper Prize.

Her paper 'Towards a Feminist Geopolitics of Economic Sanctions and Gendered Insecurity: The case of Iranian women under the US-led regime of sanctions' was described as "an incredibly original intervention, as it seeks to make ‘feminist sense’ of the (gendered) violence of economic sanctions, through the lens of Iran."
