UG event series - Where is the UK-EU security relationship heading? POSTPONED

This event will be in Zoom
-

This event is being postponed until September 2024. New details to follow soon.

This session will explore the different security dimensions within the UK-EU security relationship post-Brexit, including both internal and external security. Although the UK was always an important security actor within the EU, Brexit has resulted in reduced internal security cooperation, in areas such as drug trafficking or trafficking in human beings, and in an absence of formalised cooperation in foreign affairs and defence. Bearing the current situation in mind, what has been the impact of Brexit for UK and EU security? And how is the relationship expected to evolve in the next few years?

She has an important publication track record in this field, which has been funded by the European Commission, the ESRC, the British Academy, the Royal Society, and national governments.
