This event will be in Zoom
-

We are hosting our second research seminar of the term, which features a talk by Nicholas Gribble (University of Manchester) on his paper titled ''Dis-membering, Re-membering: Understanding the Affective Force of Violence through Fantasies in (Post)War Sierra Leone'. This article explores the relationship between violence, bodies, and political discourses of memory in the context of Sierra Leone. Please join our event to have an exciting discussion on what he conceptualises as ‘fantasy-structure’ of war,  the aesthetics of ‘dismembering’ and ‘remembering’, and psychoanalytic methods.

Registration will close two hours before the event begins
