Become a convener for the Post-Structural Politics Working Group (PPWG)

As current convener Christina Oelgemoller’s (Loughborough University) second term comes to an end, we are searching for a replacement. The groups other two conveners, Patrick Pinkerton (Queen Mary University of London) and Kodili Chukwuma (UEA) will remain in position, ensuring a smooth handover and plenty of support for the newly elected individual.

Acting as a working group convener can be very rewarding and will provide you with transferable leadership skills, as well as allowing you to grow your network. Christina Oelgemoller said:

“I have been very honoured to have been co-convener to the PPWG and its community over the past years. I’d recommend being a BISA working group convener because this role has the potential to facilitate groups of people sharing ideas and working towards communicating ideas in different ways. I have loved enabling collaboration both off-line and more recently in the online world, being guided by the initiative of members and also offering some thoughts for members to take up.”

PPWG brings together researchers who take inspiration from the wide variety of post-structural approaches to International Relations.

If you’re interested in the convener role you should send an expression of interest to ppwg.group@bisa.ac.uk by the deadline of 31 March 2021. You should hold a permanent contract at your institution.
