As we gear up for the holiday break, our trustees, BISA staff and I want to extend warm wishes to all our amazing members. Your support and contributions have been instrumental in BISA's growth throughout 2023. We appreciate each and every one of you!

Looking ahead, brace yourselves for the thrill of our 2024 annual conference, happening in the vibrant city of Birmingham next June. The overwhelming volume of submissions has shattered records, making this upcoming event the biggest yet.

In the face of challenges in UK Higher Education, BISA stands tall as the voice of the international studies community. From our impactful submission to the FRAP consultation to an open letter to the Prime Minister on academic freedom, we're showcasing our commitment. As we navigate the intricate landscape of higher education, we pledge to champion the crucial role of international studies in society, and the broader significance of the social sciences.
